At Badachu Park, Beijing (May 2009)
Thanks for your interest in reading this About Me page. I’ve long thought of re-writing it completely because it read like a short online description of life and work experience. Maybe good for recruiters and clients. But not so for my dear blog readers who are kind enough to read this page. I should have offered more details about my blog and what I’m doing now.
Here, though now very occasionally, I blog about my life and sometimes comment on what’s happening in Beijing, China, and the rest of the world. My other blogs include one I write in Chinese and one group blog focused on Hongloumeng, my favorite classic Chinese novel. At my Chinese blog, I boast of a decade’s worth of posts. The earliest one dates back almost ten years ago, when I started out as a bad translator at a small agriculture-related website. At the group blog, the bloggers, me included, haven’t posted for a very long time. However, it still attracts many readers referred by search engines because of the high quality of posts and re-posts from other blogs and websites.
A regularly updated section of my blogs is the Photo Album, where you can see pictures I took of my part of the world.

This blog is really interesting. your English writing skills are very good. I admire your effort improving this secondary language.
Thanks darshana! My idea is that if I use Chinese (my mother tongue) and English well enough, more than half of the world can understand me and I can understand more than half of the world, at least linguistically. That’s cool!
Glad to see that you are back to the blogworld, and I hope to read many new posts here from you soon!
Thanks JR! Actually, my English blog has remained silent for months. But my Chinese blog has always been sort of active, though one or two posts each month!
